The interior gets a minor refresh that includes a revised instrument cluster. XLT models now come with additional standard features, while the high-line XLT Premium gets a new monochrome exterior look. The Adrenalin model now features an even more powerful premium audio system. All models get a flexible fuel feature that allows them to run on ethanol-blended fuel, as well as traditional gasoline. Finally, there is no longer a manual transmission option on XLS models.

slow off the line, not much power needs a 8 cylinder, other than that, it is a pretty good truck. i like the looks and the styling of the sport trac. perfect size.i dont like the where the cruise control buttons are they should be where they are on the g.m.s on the turn signal switch. the sun visor should have extensions like the g.m.s

I have owned Ford Trucks , Gmc Trucks, and Toyota Trucks and have found out that Ford builds the best. The Sport Trac (almost a truck) has the best ride and is a fun truck to drive. The leg room is great and there is plenty of room in the back seat for passenger comfort. Although the truck bed is not full size with a bed extender I can haul what I need and still have the comfort of an SUV.

An excellent "cross-over" vehicle. As a previous two-time Explorer owner, I always had to borrow friends pickup trucks in order to haul anything big. Now I have the best of both worlds; a luxury SUV, and a place to carry my bikes!

The Sport Trac is a great vehicle for people who consistently need cargo room even though they live in an urban area or want to avoid the gas-trap of larger trucks. Ive used the truck to haul hay and grain for my horses (which it does easily) as well as to take guests and friends to more formal events in town. Very versatile!

Ive had my ST for 3-weeks now and I love it more everyday (except for the scratch I put on it :( This vehicle is a blast to drive, I cant wait till summer when I can open the moonroof, and open all the windows including the rear. My only regret is I didnt get the upgraded stereo. I have the basic CD player with 4 speakers which is ok, but would like a little more now. I have the bed extender and hard cover which makes this vehicle even more versatile. It can haul plenty including my bikes and other recreational equipment. All the conveniences of an SUV and a large enough bed to haul/carry what I need.

I picked this truck up used by someone who jumped the gun. The Ford was getting around 12 miles to the gallon. After further research and previous knowledge. I picked a K&N air filter and changed the engine oil to 5w40 oil which is called for by Ford for the 4.0 v6. And by only filling half of the 22.5 gallon tank at gas stops, not to mention the flexible fuel feature. I am now doing better then 17 MPG city for a four wheel drive! The comfort level and look of the truck along with the versatility. So prior to chasing everyone to an import make sure you have correct oil and air filtration. Along with tire PSI.

Oustanding performance. Just as comfortable on mountain trails as riding around town. Well Worth it.

This is my second SportTrac, and I love it more than the first. Have modified it for more performance, better handling, and appearance.

  • Its Everything - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Its a truck. No its a car. Its everthing. What a vehicle. Last weekend with the help of a small trailer I took 3 buddys dirt bike riding WITH thier bikes. Imagin a full size quad in the bed and two motor Biikes in the trailer all are geer, tools and fuel and plenty of room inside. Before we left we couldnt resist clicking into 4WD for a qick tour of the old mines. Imagin ones "NO Boudries" pride in pulling a JEEP out of a mud pit on the way back. As fun off road as it is functional on, the Sport Track is the greatest vehicle as Ive ever owned.

I bought my Sport Trac during a Colorado Blizzard and drove it home using the 4wd. I have driven it to California from Colorado and from Colorado to Las Vegas 4 times with no complaints. I have hauled fence material for my MOM, furniture for friends, and many things for me. My daughter sits in the back and loves to use the climate control. I currently have 19,000 miles only one transmission coolant line that the dealer fixed. I would buy a sport trac again it this car was ever totaled.
